Srinagar: Police on Tuesday said that a major destruction drive has been carried out at adjacent Bund area Nai Basti Anantnag, by Anti-Narcotics Task Force J&K in collaboration with Excise Department and social activists of Anantnag town.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the wild grown cannabis cultivation at many patches spread over approximately 04-06 Kanals of land were destroyed on spot. Police in its statement appealed people to come forward and join hands with the drug curbing agencies for carrying out such kind of destruction drives in near future also for making the society drug free.
