ADGP Armed visits Armed Police Complex, Parihaspora, Pattan

Srinagar: Anand Jain Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Armed J&K alongwith Junaid Mehmood, Deputy Inspector General, IRP Kashmir, on Tuesday visited Armed Police Complex Parihaspora, Pattan. The purpose of the visit was, to review the functioning of IRP-3rd and IRP 9th Battalions stationed at the complex.
Upon his arrival, Sh. Jain was accorded a warm welcome by the concerned Commandants. He was presented with a ceremonial Guard of Honour by a joint contingent of IRP-3rd and IRP-9th Battalions. A comprehensive Inspection of various unit establishments of both the units and allied offices was carried out during the visit.
Addressing a special Darbar convened on the occasion, Sh. Jain assured the personnel that all their legitimate concerns would be addressed at the Armed Police Headquarters level. As part of the visit, the ADGP led a plantation drive at the complex, during which saplings of Chinar and pine trees were planted, besides also inaugurated Recreation Hall Facility of IRP 9th Bn. He further underscored the psychological, social and cultural implications of substance abuse and impressed upon the personnel to keep themselves away from drugs. The ADGP Armed also commended the role of personnel and encouraged their active participation in ongoing refresher courses. Highlighting cyber security Awareness, the ADGP advised, to exercise caution while using social Media Platforms and stressed upon adopting set protocols to safeguard data.
The ADGP urged all officers and personnel to maintain high levels of vigilance and operational preparedness in light of the upcoming Shri Amarnath Yatra 2025. He also emphasized the significance of cleanliness within the complex and directed regular sanitation drives to ensure hygiene standards. Moreover, the ADGP instructed the Commandants to ensure regular medical checkups of the all the personnel to promote health standards. Among others present on the occasion include Syed Mubashir Hussain, Commandant IRP 9th Bn. Javid Iqbal SSP Commandant IRP-3rd Bn. Surjit Kumar SSP, Commandant IRP-20th Bn, Paramjit Singh, Commandant IRP-21st Bn. Munir Ahmed, SSP, APCR Kashmir and other officers.
