Awantipora : TheSchool of Sciences at the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) has launched an extensive outreach programme across various Higher Secondary Schools.
The initiative aims to raise awareness among prospective students about the wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate science programmes offered at IUST. Faculty members from departments including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Environmental Science, the Centre for Disaster Risk Reduction, and the Frontier Institute of Interdisciplinary Sciences actively participated in the programme.
During the outreach visits, faculty conducted interactive sessions and presentations detailing the structure of academic programmes, admission procedures, research opportunities, and career prospects in science. Students were introduced to the university’s emphasis on interdisciplinary learning, hands-on lab training, fieldwork, and state-of-the-art research facilities.
