Srinagar : Police on Saturday said that it has arrested a drug peddler and also recovered contraband substances from his possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that a Police team from Police Post Reshnagri, at a checkpoint established at Pundhaan arrested a drug peddler identified as Aadil Ahmad Ahanger Son of Bashir Ahmad Ahanger R/O Muradpora Shopian, adding therein that suring search, 80 grams of Charas like substance was recovered from his possession.
Stating that a case under FIR No. 18/2025 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Heerpora besides initiating further investigation Police in the concluding para of its above quoted statement appealed people to join hands with the police in its ant-narcotics drive.
