DC G’bal chairs DGRC meeting under AB-PMJAY, Reviews grievance redressal mechanism

Ganderbal : A comprehensive review meeting of the District Grievance Redressal Committee (DGRC) under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) was convened today under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Jatin Kishore here in the V.C Room of DC Office.
The meeting reviewed the functioning of the District Grievance Redressal Committee, which plays a vital role in addressing beneficiary complaints and ensuring transparency in service delivery.
CMO provided an overview of the ongoing activities under AB-PMJAY and highlighted the importance of timely grievance resolution to maintain the credibility and efficiency of the scheme.
Meeting also assessed the functioning and performance of the ASHA cadre in delivering community health services and their role in facilitating the implementation of AB-PMJAY.
DC emphasized the need for strengthening the ASHA network through continuous capacity building, timely incentives and effective grievance redressal mechanisms. He appreciated the efforts of the ASHA workers in creating awareness and facilitating healthcare services at the grassroots level.
During the meeting, challenges faced by ASHAs in the field were discussed in detail and directions were issued to address the operational gaps.
DC instructed the concerned officials to ensure that all grievances under AB-PMJAY are addressed promptly and that the role of ASHAs in identifying and assisting eligible beneficiaries is further strengthened.
DC directed all stakeholders to work collaboratively towards improving health service delivery and ensuring that the benefits of AB-PMJAY reach every eligible citizen of Ganderbal.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer, Program Officer ICDS, ACP, CMO, along with other key stakeholders, including officials from the Health Department, members of the DGRC, and representatives of the ASHA workers.
