Shopian : In a major step towards ensuring sustainable development of tribal communities in the select villages of the district, the District Administration Shopian is set to implement the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan—a flagship initiative launched last year, in the tribal villages of the district.
This nationwide campaign seeks to empower tribal villages by providing them with essential & basic service infrastructure support and bridge critical gaps in human and economic development.
In line with the program, District Administration Shopian shall be initiating a targeted strategy for the effective rollout of the campaign in the district, running from June, 15th to 30th aimed at saturating individual entitlements at the last mile level and to create awareness about DAJGUA.
Under the special camps, conduct of baseline gap analysis to identify critical deficits in infrastructure and human development indicators in tribal settlements shall be held for comprehensive redressal of the critical development gaps.
Unlike traditional IEC campaigns, this campaign will ensure on-the-ground delivery of entitlement through village-level/cluster level camps, providing Aadhaar Cards, Ration Cards, Ayushman Bharat Card (PM-JAY), Caste Certificate, Domicile Certificate, Kisan Credit Card (KCC), PM-KISAN, Social Security (Old Age Pension, Widow Pension, Divyang Pension) Employment and Livelihood Schemes (MGNREGA), PM Vishwakarma, Mudra Loans, Women & Child Welfare (PMMVY, ICDS Benefits, Immunization), etc.
These camps shall operate with active participation of CSCs, local administration, frontline workers and departmental convergence to ensure that benefit reaches eligible tribal individuals and families.
The campaign is a crucial step in advancing the collective vision of an inclusive and empowered tribal India.
