ADGP Armed Visits Armed Police Complex Mattan, Ang, Conducts Inspection of Bn

Srinagar : Anand Jain, , Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Armed J&K, along with Shiekh Junaid Mehmood, , Deputy Inspector General, IRP Kashmir on Thursday visited the Armed Police Complex Mattan, Anantnag. The purpose of the visit was to review the functioning of IRP 10th and IRP 17th Battalions stationed at the complex.
⁠Upon his arrival, ADGP Jain was accorded a warm welcome by the Commandants and other senior officers. He was presented with a ceremonial Guard of Honour by contingents from the IRP 10th and 17th Battalions. The ADGP then carried out a comprehensive inspection of various unit establishments and allied offices within the complex. A special Darbar was convened on the occasion, during which personnel from both battalions had the opportunity to voice their concerns related to service conditions and welfare matters. Jain listened attentively to the issues raised and issued on-the-spot instructions to the concerned officers for prompt redressal of genuine grievances. He assured the personnel that all legitimate concerns would also be addressed at the Armed Police Headquarters level. As part of the visit, the ADGP led a plantation drive at the complex, during which saplings of Deodar and Chinar trees were planted. While addressing the Darbar, Shri Jain commended the dedication and hard work of the personnel.
⁠He encouraged enthusiastic participation in ongoing refresher courses and emphasized the importance of maintaining physical fitness. The ADGP urged officers and officials to maintain a high degree of vigilance and preparedness, especially in view of the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025. He also emphasized the importance of cleanliness within the complex, directing regular sanitation drives to uphold hygiene standards. Furthermore, he instructed the Commandants to ensure that all personnel undergo regular medical check-ups to enhance overall health and wellbeing.
Jain highlighted the need for innovation in routine office procedures and advocated for the adoption of the e-Office system to establish a digital workplace and reduce paper usage.
