Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organization (JKTPO) is conducting a series of workshops to strengthen the outreach and capacity-building of local Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) and budding entrepreneurs. These workshops are strategically designed to raise awareness about the Raising and Accelerating MSME Performance (RAMP) program, a Government of India initiative that empowers MSMEs through a multifaceted support system.
The RAMP program focuses on enhancing market linkages, promoting digital financing solutions, advancing skill development, fostering cluster-based growth, and implementing critical business refor
The SPIU team during the sessions outlined detailed implementation strategies and responded to participants’ questions to facilitate smooth execution of the RAMP initiatives. This interactive approach ensures that Implementing agencies/ stakeholders are well-informed and equipped to effectively leverage the benefits of the RAMP initiatives, thereby fostering a more resilient and competitive MSME ecosystem in the region.
The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from a wide range of stakeholders including officers from DIC Kupwara, representatives from ITI, JKEDI, Handloom & Handicrafts department, Lead Bank Kupwara, officials from JKTPO, members of industrial associations, MSME unit holders, Self Help Groups (SHGs), and other local entrepreneurs.
The event aimed to familiarize local stakeholders with the objectives, components, and benefits of the RAMP program, while also facilitating dialogue between departments and MSMEs for improved support and outreach.
Detailed sessions were conducted on various schemes and interventions under RAMP that promote capacity building, access to credit, marketing support, skilling, and technology adoption.
Speaking at the event, representatives from SPIU/ JKTPO emphasized the J&K Government’s commitment to making the MSME sector more resilient, competitive, and growth-oriented.
