DC visits Distt Hospital Poonch, reviews healthcare arrangements

Poonch : Deputy Commissioner Poonch Vikas Kundal conducted a comprehensive visit to District Hospital Poonch on Friday to review healthcare arrangements and ensure the facility is fully prepared to meet medical needs in the eventuality of emergency.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner interacted with patients undergoing treatment and enquired about the quality of care, availability of essential medicines, and support services. He conducted a thorough inspection of various hospital wards, emergency units, and other key departments to assess overall readiness and responsiveness.
The Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Medical Superintendent and other senior officials from the district administration accompanied him during the visit. They briefed the Deputy Commissioner on the hospital’s functioning, recent patient inflow, and ongoing improvements in medical infrastructure.
Given the prevailing circumstances in the border region, the Deputy Commissioner Poonch emphasized the importance of maintaining a high state of preparedness in the health sector. He directed hospital authorities to remain vigilant, ensure timely treatment for all, and maintain efficient coordination among staff.
The visit underscored the administration’s commitment to safeguarding public health and ensuring uninterrupted medical services, especially during sensitive times.
