Jammu: Police in Jammu on Monday said that under the Civic Action Programme (CAP), District Police Jammu in collaboration with Diva International Foundation organized a free medical camp at Sai village in Arnia sector, located on the International Border.
In a statement issued from the District Police Office Jammu, officials said that the camp drew an overwhelming response with over 300 local residents from Sai and adjoining remote villages availing free medical consultations, checkups, and medicines.
The medical camp was inaugurated by SSP Jammu, Sh. Joginder Singh, JKPS, along with CEO Diva International Foundation, Sh. Amardeep Singh. Also present were SP Headquarters Jammu, Sh. Irshad Hussain Rather, JKPS; SDPO R.S. Pura, Sh. Gurmeet Singh, JKPS; SHO Arnia, Insp. Dilawar Kumar; and Incharge BPP Sai, SI Kuldeep Sharma. The initiative aimed to bridge healthcare access gaps in underserved border communities while strengthening the bond between Jammu and Kashmir Police and the public. A team of doctors from reputed medical institutions delivered care for various ailments, including chronic and seasonal illnesses.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Jammu remarked, “Accessible healthcare is a fundamental right. Through such initiatives, we aim not only to provide essential services but also to build trust and goodwill among border residents.” The medical camp is part of Jammu Police’s wider mission under the Civic Action Programme—which focuses on citizen-friendly policing, public welfare, and confidence-building measures in far-flung areas. The efforts of Diva International Foundation, the participating doctors, and support staff were acknowledged with Letters of Appreciation presented by SSP Jammu.
