Srinagar|May, 5: Police have arrested four individuals accused of criminally assaulting a nomadic woman on city outskirts last evening. The woman, who suffered grievous injuries in the assault, was rushed to a hospital where she was declared brought dead on arrival, police said.
Police said they took cognizance of a reported incident of sexual assault of a woman near Water Works Road, Nishat, who sustained grievous injuries and was later declared brought dead at the hospital. Police said an FIR under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Nishat and four accused persons involved in the commission of crime were arrested. “Further investigation is on,” police added.
