Srinagar : Police in Handwara on Wednesday organized an awareness programme on the newly enacted criminal laws at Government High School Magam. The event witnessed active participation from students, teachers, and members of the local community.
During the sessions students were interactive and enthusiastically engaged the officers with queries pertaining to new laws. Questions ranged from the advantages of specific legal changes to how these laws would improve everyday life. The officers encouraged such dialogue, fostering an environment where students felt empowered to understand the criminal jurisprudence.
Speaking on the occasion, senior police officials emphasized the importance of community-oriented policing and legal education. They noted that informed citizens are vital to the effective implementation of any law, and such awareness programmes serve as a bridge between law enforcement agencies and the public. The event concluded with a collective pledge to uphold the rule of law and contribute towards a peaceful and just society.
