KU bids farewell to its 9 officers at its Main Campus at Hazratbal Srinagar

Srinagar: To honour decades of dedicated service of its employees, the University of Kashmir (KU) bid farewell to nine of its officers at a farewell ceremony held at the Varsity here on Tuesday. Since December 2024, a total of nine officers who attained superannuation including seven Assistant Registrars, one Joint Registrar, and one Deputy Registrar, were given formal farewell by the University in recognition of their valuable contributions.
Speaking at the farewell ceremony Vice-Chancellor KU, Prof. Nilofer Khan expressed deep appreciation for the services rendered by the retiring officers. “These officers have played a key role in shaping the administrative functioning of the University. Their sincerity, discipline and institutional commitment will be remembered and respected,” she said.
Prof. Khan added that the values demonstrated by the officers serve as an inspiration for the younger generation of university staff.
The ceremony was attended by Dean Academic Affairs KU, Prof. Shariefuddin Pirzada, Dean Research KU, Prof. Mohammad Sultan Bhat, Dean College Development Council KU, Prof. Khushid Butt, Registrar KU, Prof. Naseer Iqbal, Controller Examination KU, Dr Majid Zaman Baba and other senior officers and staff of the varsity.
The ceremony concluded with the presentation of mementos and a note of thanks, marking a heartfelt and respectful farewell to the retiring officers.
