IIM Jammu Concludes Immersion Prog for BBA Students of I.T.S Ghaziabad

Jammu : The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu concluded the Valedictory Ceremony of the Immersion Program for ITS Students today at Room No. 268, Dharma, Vedanta-MDP Centre, Jagti Campus.
The ceremony commenced with a welcome address, setting an enthusiastic tone for the evening. Present during the valedictory ceremony was Prof. Sunil Kr Pandey, Director, ITS Ghaziabad, Dr. Mahesh Gadekar, Member, Executive
Education and Consultancy, IIM Jammu. Also present were Program Directors, Dr. Shreya Rastogi, Dr. Garima Maurya and Dr. Sumit Maheswari, IIM Jammu. The program consisted of 30 student participants. Representing I.T.S Ghaziabad were Prof. Vaijayanti Anand and Prof. Shivoham, who extended their support and encouragement to the participating students Prof. Sunil Kr Pandey, Director, ITS Ghaziabad, emphasized the importance of doing something different — something that others are not doing. He mentioned that initially, there was some uncertainty about the kind of response the initiative
would receive, but the overwhelming participation of students and parents was truly heartening and appreciable. He highlighted that the discussions were always centered around ensuring that this would not be a one-time initiative, but
something that would be carried forward in the future. He noted that students gained a fresh perspective across various domains such as monetary policy, international trade, branding, and marketing, experiencing a unique pedagogical
approach. He stated that these 30 students would now stand apart from the other students, creating an environment where every student aspires to excel. He commended the meticulous planning behind the program and remarked that it was a wonderful experience, one of the few he had witnessed even in his broader academic career. He acknowledged the significant role IIM Jammu is playing in shaping students’ career aspirations and making classrooms more dynamic and engaging. He encouraged faculty members to spend time at IIM Jammu and learn from such enriching experiences. Concluding his thoughts, he stressed the importance of continuous learning, stating that “the sky is the limit.” Dr. Mahesh Gadekar, Member, EE & C, spoke about the essence of management science and expressed hope that students would continue to practice it in their careers. He provided an overview of the program at IIM Jammu and gave insights into the broader IIM system. Highlighting the rigorous academic environment, he emphasized the importance of case study preparation, urging students to read extensively and stay well acquainted with concepts to succeed. Dr. Shreya Rastogi, Program Director, IIM Jammu presented the Program Report, highlighting the key takeaways,
sessions conducted, and the overall learning outcomes of the immersion program. The session witnessed heartfelt reflections by the participants, sharing their enriching experience at IIM Jammu. The event also witnessed the distribution of certificates to the participants, marking the culmination of the program. Dr. Garima Maurya, Program Director, IIM Jammu delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all the stakeholders for making the program a grand success. The ceremony culminated with the National Anthem, reflecting the spirit of unity and pride among all present. The
Immersion Program at IIM Jammu was designed to provide the ITS students with a transformational learning experience, bridging academic learning with real-world applications. The Immersion Program at IIM Jammu stands as a testament to the institute’s unwavering commitment to nurturing talent
and strengthening industry-academia partnerships. Through such transformative initiatives, IIM Jammu continues to set new benchmarks in management education and plays a pivotal role in shaping future-ready leaders.
