Jammu : Police in Jammu on Monday said that they have apprehended an accused who had been evading court appearance for the past two years in a murder case.
In a statement issued from the District Police Office Jammu Police said that following inputs Domana Police successfully arrested one Budhi Ram, S/O Hari Ram, R/O Village Majha Kita Abbal, Tehsil Harraiya, District Basti, Uttar Pradesh, adding therein that a non-bailable warrant had been issued against him by the Principal District and Sessions Judge Jammu in connection with FIR No. 316/2015 under Section 302 RPC registered at Police Station Domana.
Stating that a special police team from Police Station Domana was constituted, which raided multiple locations in Uttar Pradesh Police in its statement further said that after sustained efforts the accused was arrested and subsequently produced before the Court after which the said accused was lodged at District Jail Ambphalla, Jammu. In the concluding para of its above quoted statement Jammu Police reiterated its commitment to bring absconders and criminals to justice.
