Srinagar : Police on Saturday said that it has arrested two drug peddlers in Sopore and also recovered contraband substances from their possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar a police team from Police Station Sopore and Police Post Fruit Mandi, intercepted a vehicle (Load Carrier) bearing registration no JK05M-9529 at Vijbal crossing with two suspects on board identified as Mohsin Manzoor Soliha and a lady (name withheld), both residents of Arampora Baramulla, during search, Stating therein further that 203 grams of charas-like substance was recovered from the possession of the said accused. Stating that a case under FIR No. 66/2025 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Sopore besides initiating further investigations Police in the concluding para of its above quoted statement appealed people to cooperate with it in curbing the menace of drugs from the society, reiterating therein its commitment to act tough against the criminals as per law.
