Srinagar: A speedy car skidded off the road and plunged into the Dal Lake on Tuesday afternoon—leaving a man dead and his wife injured, officials said.
An official said that the incident took place around 4:45 PM when a Swift car bearing registration number JK01N-7373 lost control near SKICC and fell into the lake.
He said that a duo were rescued and immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
In the meantime, sources said, as soon as they were shifted to SMHS hospital, the doctors declared him brought dead.
The deceased has been identified as Waheed Ahmad Dar, son of Abdul Rashid Dar, resident of Pulwama
