7th Poshan Pakhwada: AYUSH H&WCs of Keegam, Trenz & Reshinagri organize health awareness activities

Shopian: On the directions of the Director AYUSH J&K, Dr. Nuzhat Bashir Shah, the AYUSH Health and Wellness Centers (H&WCs) at Keegam and Trenz, Shopian on Saturday organized health awareness activities to mark the 7th edition of Poshan Pakhwada.
A school health check-up and awareness campaign was held at Government Higher Secondary School, Keegam, where students received free health check-ups and participated in an informative session on healthy dietary practices. The campaign focused on spreading awareness about balanced nutrition, hygiene, and lifestyle modifications for better health.
Simultaneously, at the Anganwadi Centre, Trenz, an awareness program was conducted targeting mothers, children, and adolescent girls. The session emphasized the importance of maternal and child nutrition, breastfeeding, and the use of locally available nutritious food.
Anemia screening of adolescent girls was also carried out during the event to identify and address early signs of iron deficiency and related health concerns.
In addition, AYUSH Health & Wellness Center, Reshinagri held a Free Medical Camp at Reshinagri, providing general health consultations and AYUSH-based medical support to the local population.
