Addl Commr emphasizes on continued vigilance, taxpayer facilitation

Udhampur : Additional Commissioner, State Taxes, Jammu, Namrita Dogra, Friday conducted a comprehensive review meeting at Dak Bunglow, here focusing on enforcement activities and performance of Circle office and team Enforcement Jammu North.
During the meeting, the Additional Commissioner evaluated the overall performance, revenue achievements and enforcement activities of the Udhampur team. She lauded the outstanding performance of team Udhampur.
“Team Udhampur is number one in the Jammu division, and their dedication is truly commendable”, she said.
Namrita Dogra appreciated the dedication and consistent efforts of the officers and officials, acknowledging their commendable performance in achieving departmental goals and maintaining efficiency in operations.
The Additional Commissioner emphasized the need for continued vigilance, taxpayer facilitation and adherence to compliance measures to ensure seamless tax administration and revenue protection.
During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner, State Taxes (Enforcement) Jammu North, Anil Kumar Chandail, briefed the Additional Commissioner on various enforcement activities undertaken by team Udhampur, like rigorous market inspections, Data compilation/Analysis, E-Way Bill (EWB) verifications and realization of penalties for violations.
He briefed the Additional Commissioner about the report highlighting significant achievements by the team enforcement, Udhampur like Rs 3.07 Crore with year on year increase of 27% in penalty realization and 3.59 Lakh E-Way Bill verifications with YoY increase of 47% in EWB verifications during the FY 2024-25.
Among others, the meeting was attended by State Tax Officers Babu Pardeep Kumar, Ravi Verma, Ayush Sharma and Sahida Akhtar; Inspectors, Sub Inspectors and State Tax Guards who were recognized for their contributions to the department’s success.
