Kishtwar: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Rajesh Kumar Shavan on Wednesday chaired a meeting to conduct a comprehensive sector-wise review of the physical and financial progress of developmental projects taken up under the District Capex Plan 2024-25.
The meeting focused on key sectors including Roads and Buildings (R&B), Jal Shakti, Education, Health, and Youth Services & Sports, among others.
At the outset, the Chief Planning Officer (CPO briefed the meeting on the status of the ongoing works under BDC ADP, DDC Plan.
The DDC issued clear directives to all Block Development Officers (BDOs) to submit a comprehensive list of ongoing works along with reconciliation statements by tomorrow evening.
In addition, the DDC emphasized the timely submission of proposals for new works under the 2025-26 plan, with April 25, 2025 as deadline, after due consultation with the Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) representing different Assembly Constituencies of the District.
He also underscored the importance of verifying the feasibility of all proposed projects, which must be certified by the concerned Tehsildar prior to execution.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Registrar Cooperatives Mirza Mumtaz Iqbal, BDOs, Executive Engineer Jal Shakti, Dy. CEO, AD Planning RDD, and officials from other line departments.
