Kupwara : In a continued effort to strengthen grassroots governance and ensure efficient public service delivery, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Handwara, Javed Naseem Masoodi convened a comprehensive review meeting to assess the functioning of the Rural Development Department (RDD) and the Municipal Committees of Langate and Handwara.
ADC underscored the importance of timely interventions and responsive administration.
Block Development Officers (BDOs) were instructed to prioritize the desilting of khuls (traditional irrigation water channels) to ensure uninterrupted water supply and prevent blockages.
The functioning of the Municipal Committees in Langate and Handwara was critically reviewed, with emphasis on improving service delivery, sanitation and public infrastructure.
