Srinaga: Police on Tuesday said that it has seized four dumpers bearing Regd. No’s JK08J-5191, JK01AK- 6100, JK13E-0769, JK01AL-1114 and 5 tippers bearing Regd. No’s JK01R-7301, JK05B-1613, jk22-2925, JK13G-3898, JKO1N-4779 which were used for transportation of illegal extracted materials.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that in this regard cases under e FIR NOs 20/2025 and 39/2025 under relevant sections of law have been registered in Police Station Kakapora and Police Station Litter, respectively besides initiating further investigation. In the concluding para of its above quoted statement Police reiterated its committment to act tough against the said violators and appealed people to come forward with any information regarding illegal mining activities in their neighbourhood.
