Srinagar: Police in Handwara on Monday organized a series of traffic awareness programs across various locations in the police District. The events witnessed active participation from students of different schools, who played a vital role in spreading awareness among the general public.
The programs, held under the supervision of senior police officials, included awareness rallies, distribution of informative pamphlets, and interactive sessions on traffic rules and regulations. Students, accompanied by their teachers and local traffic police personnel, engaged with commuters and emphasized the importance of wearing helmets, using seat belts, and avoiding mobile phone usage while driving.
The initiative aims to instil a culture of road safety among youth and create a sense of shared responsibility towards safer roads in Handwara.
