Jammu: A delegation of OBC/SC/ST led by former Minister Ram Paul on Friday called on Minister for Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, at Civil Secretariat, Jammu.
The delegation presented set of demands including reconstitution of OBC Board, reservation in promotions, safeguarding constitutional provisions for welfare of underprivileged communities besides others.
The delegation also raised the issue of implementation of reservation in admission to professional educational institutions and recruitments in letter and spirit.
The Minister, while advocating the social justice, equality and inclusive development as among the top priorities of present dispensation, assured the delegation that Cabinet Sub-Committee is looking into all the issues and grievances.
He added that various policies and programs have already been implemented aimed at fostering inclusive growth for marginalised sections of the society.
