Distt Admin B’pora conducts IEC campaign against drug abuse in educational institutions across the Distt

Bandipora : District administration Bandipora on Thursday organised awareness programmes in identified educational institutions across all blocks of the district, to sensitize students about the harmful effects of substance abuse.
Senior officers from the District Administration participated in the campaign to ensure comprehensive outreach and grassroots-level involvement.
The IEC campaign event at Higher Secondary School Naidkhai presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bandipora, Zaffar Husson Shawl was attended by Dy CEO, Principal HSS Naidkhai, Staff members, students and other concerned.
Speaking on the occasion, ADC highlighted the devastating impact of drug abuse on individuals, families, and society.
He underscored the role of youth in building a drug-free future and highlighted the efforts of Government in eradicating the menace through awareness, rehabilitation and enforcement measures.
Resource persons from different departments also addressed the gathering, elaborating on the physical, mental, and social impacts of drug addiction, while also informing about available support systems and rehabilitation facilities for victims.
