DIG NKR B’la visits Sopore, chairs Thana Diwas, InauguratesNew DPO Annexe Building

Srinagar: Thana Diwas, an initiative of Government of J&K and part of Public outreach programme was observed at Dak Bungalow Sopore. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Inspector General of Police North Kashmir Range Baramulla Maqsood ul Zaman alongwith Superintendent of Police Sopore Smt. Divya D, ASP Sopore Mir Murtaza and SDPO Sopore Sarfaraz Bashir and other senior officers of Sopore Police
The meeting was attended by president Traders Federation Sopore, president Fruit Mandi Sopore, chairman economic alliance, president civil societies, president Auqaf Committies, president mohalla Committies, youth groups, transport heads, private school heads, chairman KAMCO Bank, Lumberdars, Chowkidars and other dignitaries from Police District Sopore.
During the meeting various issues were raised by the participants and were assured that their genuine grievances pertaining to Police department will be resolved on priority & that of Civil Administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their early redressal.
Participants appreciated the efforts of Sopore Police in ensuring peaceful environment and requested for more such meetings in future.
DIGP NKR Baramulla also inaugurated new DPO Sopore Annexe building at District Police Headquarters Sopore. These facilities have been extended to enhance the welfare and to provide comfortable working conditions for the police personnel.
