DC Srinagar reviews status of public grievances on JK-Samadhan Portal

DC stresses on maximizing citizens registrations on the platform, ensuring wider participation and efficient grievance redressal

Srinagar: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat on Thursday chaired a meeting to review the status of public grievances on JK-Samadhan Portal and progress of the registrations on the platform.
At the outset, DC took a detailed assessment of the JK-Samadhan Portal and resolution mechanism put in place by each line department in the district. He also reviewed the status of all pending grievances and analyzed the resolution of already addressed citizen complaints.
DC directed all departments to expedite the resolution process of each grievance with quality disposal to the best satisfaction of the citizens. He stressed the importance of citizen engagement and awareness regarding the JK-Samadhan Portal.
He instructed officers to actively assist citizens in registering on the platform, ensuring wider participation and better grievance redressal.
While highlighting the significance of citizens registrations on the JK Samadhan Portal, the DC said the Government has launched the initiative to streamline and simplify the grievance redressal mechanism and ensure transparent, efficient and quality redressal of public complaints.
On the occasion, Dr Bilal stressed the Officers to sensitize the masses about the JK Samadhan Portal and prioritize registering citizens on the platform. He emphasized the importance of timely and efficient registration of grievances, which can be accessed and resolved through the portal.
He underscored the importance of the portal in facilitating citizen’s access to Government services and resolving grievances.
DC directed all the line departments to ensure maximum outreach and participation in the portal’s registration process and enjoined upon them to achieve set targets at the earliest. He asked the departments to share progress of grievances disposed-off and citizens registration on the portal on a daily basis so that progress is monitored and supervised in an efficient manner.
During the meeting, DC was informed that out of total 7232 grievances registered on JK Samadhan Portal as many 5078 public grievances have been resolved till date.
