Kishtwar: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Rajesh Kumar Shavan on Thursday conducted a detailed inspection of the historic Chowgan Ground.
During the visit, the DC issued a string of directives aimed at enhance the aesthetic and cultural value of the place.
The DC gave on-spot directions for expediting the ongoing works, including the development of flower beds along the periphery of the ground, construction of entry gates, and other beautification measures to preserve and promote the heritage significance of Chowgan Ground.
He directed for regulation of entry and grazing of cattle and restricting entrance of those with no grazing permit.
In addition, the DC emphasized the importance of cleanliness and directed the Chief Executive Officer Kishtwar Development Authority and the Executive Officer, Municipal Council to ensure comprehensive sanitation and maintenance of the area.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by CEO KDA Rishi Kumar Sharma; EO Municipal Council, Mirza Mumtaz Iqbal and other concerned officers and officials.
