Parking of vehicles restricted in Thathri Market to ease traffic Congestion

Doda : In order to ease traffic congestion and ensure smooth vehicular movement in Thathri Town, especially during peak hours from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM, the Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Doda has issued an order prohibiting parking of any vehicles on the Thathri Bridge to Army Camp road stretch.
As per the order, passenger vehicles are directed to only pick up and drop passengers at designated Bus/Taxi Stands, ensuring seamless operation of the public transport system in line with prescribed terms and conditions.
“Only commercial vehicles actively engaged in business operations are permitted to use the designated stands during the specified hours and on a rotational basis. Parking of all other vehicles, including private vehicles, is strictly prohibited during this period. Violators will face penalties or legal action under the Motor Vehicle Act” the order reads.
This step has been taken for the betterment of traffic flow and to enhance public convenience in the area.
