Jammu : Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Chowdhary have in their separate greeting message greeted the people on the auspicious occasion of Mahavir Jayanti, which will be celebrated on Thursday, April 10, 2025.
In a message, the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said “Heartiest greetings and best wishes to all on the auspicious occasion of Mahavir Jayanti. Lord Mahavir’s teachings of non-violence, compassion, truth, peace and humility guide us to the path of happiness and contentment. As we celebrate Mahavir Jayanti, let us embrace the path of Ahimsa (non-violence) and Satya (truth) and work for peace, harmony, and welfare of humanity”.
In his message of greetings the Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Chowdhary said “I extend my heartfelt greetings to everyone on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti. The life and teachings of Lord Mahavir, centred on non-violence, truth, compassion and humility, continue to inspire millions across the world. As we celebrate this sacred day, let us reaffirm our commitment to the values of Ahimsa (non-violence) and Satya (truth) and dedicate ourselves towards building a society based on peace, harmony, and mutual respect.”
He added that the ideals of Lord Mahavir are more relevant today than ever and urged people to follow his path to create a more compassionate and inclusive world.
