Srinagar : Police on Tuesday said that it has seized 2 tractors, JCB Machine in Kulgam involved in in illegal extraction & transportation of minerals.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that vehicles including two Tractors and a JCB machine were seized by it from the Nallah Vaishow, Stating therein further that three accused were also arrested who were identified as Umer Amin Padder R/o Okey, Ghulam Hassan Ahangar R/o Bhan and Fayaz Ismail Dar R/o HM Gori.
Stating that cases under relevant section of law were registered besides initiating further investigations Police in the concluding para of its above quoted statement reiterated its commitment to curb illegal mining and preserve environmental integrity, appealing therein people of the area to come forward with any information regarding illegal mining activities in their neighbourhood.
