Srinagar : The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, marked a significant stride in corporate governance by organising its 3rd Board Mentorship Programme through the Institute of Governance Professionals of India (IGPI), a Section 8 company promoted by ICSI.
The four-day Director’s Training Programme, held from 2–5 April 2025 in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, focused on enhancing board-level leadership, equipping decision-makers with the skills to foster empowered teams and collaborative growth environments.

Through focused training and collaborative dialogue, we aim to build boardrooms that are not only strategic but also inclusive and forward-thinking.”
Continuing its mission of global professional empowerment, the ICSI set up Overseas Centres in Australia, Canada, Singapore, UAE, UK and USA. To further strengthen its global presence, the ICSI is hosting its Middle East Conference 2025 on 24–26 April, in Dubai, on the theme – Good Governance: Empowering Capital Markets, and its 4th International Conference in Sydney on 3–5 September 2025, on the theme – Embracing Innovation, Enhancing Good Governance.
Digitally, the ICSI continues its transformation through e-learning modules, UDIN and eCSin, reinforcing compliance, transparency, and accessibility. Recognitions from SEBI and IFSCA have further elevated the role of Company Secretaries in securities and capital markets.
Further, the ICSI has initiated various Post Membership Qualification (PMQ) Certificate Courses to enhance the acumen and skill set of its members. It has set up the ICSI International ADR Centre and started the Start-up & MSME Catalyst initiative to expand members’ professional impact. The ICSI has also recently developed the PoSH Governance Standards and Social Audit Standards. The ICSI has initiated direct registration into the CS Executive Programme for graduates and for its students, the ICSI has started free online classes, Debating Society, one-year CSMC residential programme etc. The ICSI has inked MoUs for academic collaborations with various IIMs, NLUs, and Olympiad foundations. With fee waivers for students from Jammu & Kashmir, armed forces families, and concessions for economically weaker and special category students, the ICSI reaffirms the fact that amidst all the other initiatives, social responsibility remains at its core.
