Jammu : A nutrition kit distribution programme was held at Chest Disease Hospital, Government Medical College Jammu on Saturday. Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Sachin Kumar Vaishya, was the chief guest at the event.
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Harbaksh Singh was also present.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC encouraged patients to adopt a healthy lifestyle and practice regular exercise. He emphasised that the message of the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan should reach everyone and added that the disease is curable and there should be no stigma attached to it.
The event was organised as part of a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative by J&K Bank.
The DC later inspected the upcoming infrastructure projects in the hospital complex.
