Srinagar: Paras Health Srinagar has taken a significant step towards making quality healthcare more accessible by becoming an empanelled hospital under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY). With this development, eligible beneficiaries can now avail of cashless and paperless treatment at the hospital, ensuring access to essential medical services without financial strain. The multispecialty hospital is also empanelled with ECHS, CAPF, CGHS, and major PSUs such as the Airport Authority of India, Power Grid, NHPC, and BSNL, further expanding its reach to serve more patients.
The Ayushman Bharat Golden Card, issued under PMJAY, serves as a digital health card that allows beneficiaries to access healthcare services worth up to Rs 5 lakh per family per year. This initiative, aimed at covering economically vulnerable sections, provides comprehensive healthcare support, including secondary and tertiary medical care at empanelled hospitals across the country. The card enables seamless, cashless transactions and is portable, allowing beneficiaries to receive treatment at any empanelled facility nationwide.
Paras Health Senior Official stated, “With our empanelment under Ayushman Bharat, we are taking a major step towards bridging the gap between affordability and advanced healthcare. Our goal is to ensure that no patient is denied essential medical treatment due to financial constraints. This initiative will enable thousands of families to access specialized care without the burden of hospital expenses.”
“As an empanelled hospital, Paras Health Srinagar will now provide advanced treatments under this scheme across multiple specialties, including cardiology, orthopedics, urology, internal medicine, cardiothoracic and vascular surgery, emergency care, and dialysis services. Dialysis is covered in our list of specialties under Internal Medicine and is also covered under the Ayushman Bharat Golden Card as part of our commitment to providing uninterrupted care in this region”, he said.
With a strong commitment to patient-centric care, the hospital aims to extend high-quality medical services to those who need them the most, reinforcing its position as a trusted healthcare provider in the region. Paras Health Srinagar is known for its best-in-class infrastructure, highly experienced doctors, and trained nursing staff, ensuring superior patient care.
To avail of the benefits of Ayushman Bharat at Paras Health Srinagar, eligible individuals can register for the PMJAY Golden Card by visiting their nearest empanelled hospital or Ayushman Mitra with their identification documents, such as an Aadhaar card. The scheme targets nearly 50 crore people in India, focusing on economically weaker sections to provide them with much-needed financial protection against medical expenses.
The PMJAY e-card, which contains necessary patient information, is mandatory for availing treatment at an empanelled hospital. The initiative not only provides financial security but also ensures equitable access to specialized treatments, covering a broad spectrum of medical conditions. Cashless and paperless transactions eliminate the stress of medical bills, allowing patients to focus entirely on their recovery.
Paras Health Srinagar also offers free ambulance services within a 5 km radius of the Emergency Room, ensuring quick and seamless patient transportation. This facility is expected to enhance emergency response and patient inflow.
Paras Health Srinagar’s empanelment under Ayushman Bharat reflects its ongoing commitment to delivering world-class healthcare services while ensuring affordability and accessibility for all. By integrating advanced medical care with government-supported financial aid, the hospital is playing a vital role in strengthening India’s healthcare ecosystem and supporting the vision of universal health coverage.
