Jammu : Deputy Chief Minister, Surinder Choudhary and Health Minister Sakina Itoo in their separate statements on Sunday extended warm greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Navratri, a festival symbolising devotion, strength and triumph of good over evil.
In his felicitation message the Deputy Chief Minister emphasised the spiritual significance of Navratri, highlighting it as a time for self-discipline, prayer and inner purification. He urged the people to celebrate the festival with devotion while upholding the values of harmony and inclusivity. “I extend my heartfelt greetings to all our citizens on the sacred occasion of Navratri,” he stated. “May this festival bring renewed hope, prosperity and divine blessings into every home. Let us come together in prayer and celebrate the power of faith and righteousness.”The Deputy Chief Minister also encouraged the citizens to uphold the spirit of unity and compassion, sharing joy with those in need and strengthening the bonds of brotherhood across communities.
In her message of greeting the Health & Education Minister Sakeena said that this holy festival reminds us to adhere the true spirit of honesty, righteousness and truthfulness in our lives. She urged people to embrace the festival’s spirit of unity, while upholding traditions that bring communities together.She expressed hope that this Navratri would bring renewed strength and inspiration for a brighter future, fostering unity and progress in our society. The Minister also prayed for peace, progress and prosperity for entire Jammu and Kashmir.
In his message of greetings the Jal Shakti Minister Javed Rana said that this festival inspires us to adopt the principles of honesty, truthfulness and righteousness in our lives.The Minister added that we should resolve ourselves to celebrate the triumph of good over evil, binding all communities in the true sense of brotherhood.The nine day festival holds great meaning and has a long history of being celebrated across the country, marking the victory of light over darkness.The Minister prayed for peace and prosperity for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
