Srinagar : Police in Awantipora under the aegis of Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2024-2025, in collaboration with Government Degree College Awantipora, Government Girl Higher Secondary School Tral and Government Boys Higher Secondary Pampore, conducted an awareness programmes on “NASHA MUKT BHARAT ABHIYAAN”.
The programmes were attended by Principal GDC Awantipora, Senior Police officers of Sub Division Tral, Sub Division Pampore, Sub Division Awantipora including SDPO Awantipora, SDPO Tral, SDPO Pampore, DySP DAR Awantipora, Principal GGHSS Tral, Principal GBHSS Pampore, professors, lecturers, students and other participants.
In these events, officers emphasized the need to protect the young generation from the menace of drug abuse, highlighting its devastating impact on individuals and society. The Officers also stressed the importance of youths staying drug free and propagating the ill effects of drugs thereby ensuring a Nasha Mukht Bharat.
Debate competitions were held wherein the participants shared their perspectives, views, assumptions and exploring concrete solutions to the complex, challenging and pressing issue of drug abuse that threatens the very fabric of our society.
This initiative demonstrates J&K Police’s commitment to eradicating drug abuse and promoting a safer, healthier community. Participants thanked J&K Police for conducting such awareness programmes, thus building a bridge of trust between police and the youth. At the conclusion, first three position holders were awarded with mementos and an appreciation certificate. Besides, participation certificates were also distributed among all the participants.
