Srinagar|March, 19: Chairman of the _Jammu and Kashmir Employees Joint Consultative Committee_, Ejaz Ahmad Khan, has made a strong appeal to the Government of Jammu & Kashmir to ensure the timely release of March salaries and wages to all employees, including *daily wagers, casual laborers, ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, AAYAs, Cook cum Helpers and employees of all categories, before Eid-ul-Fitr.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday Khan emphasized that Ramadan is a sacred month that teaches us compassion, generosity, and unity, yet thousands of employees and workers are facing severe financial difficulties. With rising expenses for Iftar, Eid preparations, and household necessities, any delay in salaries and wages would further burden these employees and their families. Khan appealed the UT Government to release the salaries and wages on a priority basis, stating that such a step would strengthen employees’ trust in the government’s pro-worker policies. He highlighted that employees are the backbone of any society’s development, and their welfare must remain a top priority. He further impressed upon the government to ensure that employees of all categories receive their salaries on time so they can celebrate Eid without financial stress. He expressed hope that the authorities would take this crucial issue seriously and take necessary action at the earliest.
