ADGP Armed, J&K visits IRP-5th Battalion Doda

Jammu: Anand Jain, ADGP Armed J&K, on his maiden visit to IR 5th Battalion at Beoli on Tuesday, assessed the battalion working. He was accompanied by Rajinder Singh SSP APCR Jammu. On his arrival the ADGP was warmly received by Afroz Ahmad, Commandant, IRP-5th Battalion and Sandeep Mehta, SSP Doda. On this Occasion Anand Jain was presented a ceremonial Guard of Honour at the Unit Quarter Guard by a contingent of the unit personnel.
Participating in the plantation drive which was also launched on the occasion, the ADGP laid Wreath at Martyrs Memorial IRP 5th Bn to pay tribute to valiant Martyrs of the unit who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. He interacted with the GOs/NGOs and later inspected the entire Battalion establishments and allied infrastructure of the complex. Besides a Special Darbar was also held on the occasion, during which the ADGP Armed stressed upon the personnel to maintain punctuality and highest degree of discipline. Elaborating on the importance of well being the ADGP emphasised that physical activities should be enhanced and the personnel should be directed to avoid sedentary life style to protect themselves from diseases. The ADGP directed the Officers to restart PT, Refresher Course & outdoor trainings of personnel to make them physically fit in order to improve their physical strength to deal with the challenging situations. The ADGP Armed also impressed upon the officers to get the medical tests of the unit personnel done at the earliest and added that more innovations should be incorporated for disposal of routine office procedures and to introduce E-Office mode, for establishing digital workplace and minimise paper work. On the occasion, the ADGP Armed also visited B-Coy of the unit stationed at DPL Doda, where he interacted with officers and officials and also took stock of security measures put in place .
