Srinagar : On the directions of Deputy Inspector General of Police South Kashmir Range Anantnag Javed Iqbal Matoo, Police in Awantipora, in collaboration with the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) Awantipora, organized a One-Day awareness seminar on New Criminal laws. The event witnessed the participation of Prof. Abdul Wahid Makhdoomi, Registrar IUST, and SSP Awantipora, along with faculty members, students, and legal experts.
The seminar was attended by Addl. SP Awantipora, Sr. PO DPO Awantipora, SDPO Awantipora, Prosecuting Officers. During the seminar, speakers delivered comprehensive presentations on the key changes introduced in the new criminal laws. The session provided an insightful discussion on legal reforms, aiming to enhance awareness among students and participants.
An interactive Q&A session followed, where students actively engaged with the speakers, and their queries were addressed in detail. This initiative reflects the commitment of both Police Awantipora and IUST towards promoting legal awareness and educating the students on evolving legal frameworks.
