Srinagar: Police in Budgam on Thursday organized a debate competition on “Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan” at Government Higher Secondary School, Waterhail, Khansahab, to raise awareness about substance abuse and its impact on society.
The event was chaired by DySP DAR Ghulam Mohiuddin, along with I/C Police Post Waterhail, I/C Drug De-addiction Centre DPL Budgam, the school principal, teaching staff and students.
The debate highlighted the dangers of drug abuse and the crucial role of youth in building a drug-free society. The chairing officer emphasized the responsibility of law enforcement and the community in tackling this issue, urging young people to take a stand against drugs. At the conclusion, participants were awarded cash prizes, mementos, and certificates of participation.
