Jammu: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Chowdhary, Agriculture Minister Javed Ahmad Dar and Health Minister Sakina Itoo have in their separate statement extended their heartiest greetings to the people on the occasion of Holi which will be celebrated on March 14.
In his message of greetings the Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said: “On the auspicious occasion of Holi, I extend my hearty greetings and good wishes to all. Holi, the festival of colours, is the harbinger of joy, hope and fulfilment in our lives. The celebration on this joyful occasion with traditional gaiety and enthusiasm marks the arrival of spring and all the colours reflect our rich diversity and vibrant culture. May this sacred festival of colours bring joy and happiness in the society and usher in new hope for a brighter future of all”.
In his felicitation message Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said that Holi symbolizes happiness, joy and togetherness. He expressed hope that the festival would bring harmony and strengthen the bonds of brotherhood among the people. “The colours of Holi represent the vibrancy of life and the spirit of unity. May this festival fill everyone’s lives with happiness, prosperity and cheer,” the Chief Minister said. He also prayed for peace, progress and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir and wished that the occasion would bring new hope and joy to all.
Extending his greeting to the people Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Chowdhary emphasized that the festival of colours symbolizes love, joy and harmony. He also expressed optimism that Holi would bring happiness and prosperity into the lives of people of Jammu and Kashmir. The Deputy Chief Minister also hoped that people will celebrate the festival with enthusiasm while fostering unity and brotherhood among all communities.
Extending his Holy greetings to the people Agriculture Minister Javed Ahmad Dar emphasized the significance of the festival in promoting communal harmony and brotherhood. He highlighted that Holi, as a festival of colors, reflects the rich cultural ethos of Jammu and Kashmir and strengthens the bonds of unity among people. He urged everyone to celebrate the occasion with joy and goodwill, fostering peace, love, and mutual respect in society.
In her message of Holy greetings the Health & Education Minister Sakeena Itoo said that this occasion symbolizes the vibrant colours of our multi-cultural society and diversity. She added that on this joyous occasion let us embrace the spirit of togetherness, spread happiness and strengthen the bonds of harmony in our society. The Minister also prayed for peace, progress and prosperity of entire Jammu and Kashmir.
