Srinagar: Police on Thursday said that two militant associates have been arrested by it in a joint operation with security forces in Hajin area of Bandipora district and also recovered arms and ammunition from their possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that along with Army (13 RR) and CRPF (45 Bn) at a checkpoint established at Gandbal-Hajin Road Policce arrested two militant associates identified as Naseer Ahmad Parray S/o Bashir Ahmad Parray R/o Kathpura Hajin and Mudasir Ahmad Parray S/o Mohd Ramzan Parray R/o Gandbal Hajin and during search recovered from their possession arms ammunition including 2 Chinese grenades, 18 live rounds of AK-47, 01 AK-47 magazine, 01 pistol, 08 pistol rounds, 01 pistol magazine and 02 mobile phones. Police in its statement further said that a case under FIR NO. 20/2025 under relevant sections of law was registered a Police Station Hajin besides initiating further investigations.
