Srinagar : As part of the Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2024-25, Police in Budgam on Wednesday organized a Medical Camp on substance abuse at Government Higher Secondary School, Surasyar, Chadoora. The camp provided free medical consultations and medicines to around 200 residents.
The camp was inaugurated by Inspector Muzamil Ahmad, along with other officers from Budgam Police. A medical team, led by Dr. Aijaz Suhaf, a psychiatrist from SMHS Srinagar, and supported by Miss Insha, In-Charge of the Drug De-Addiction Centre DPL Budgam, along with paramedical staff, examined patients from remote areas. Free medicines were distributed based on diagnoses.
The medical team emphasized the importance of physical and mental well-being, hygiene, and preventive healthcare. They also urged the youth to avoid drug abuse.
