Srinagar, Mar 12: The Meteorological department today said that weather conditions across Jammu and Kashmir likely to be improved from March 16 afternoon.
An official said that intermittent spells of light to moderate rains and snow over higher reaches at many places will likely continue till March 15.
He said that on March 16 there is a possibility of intermittent light rains & snow at few places towards morning, and predicted improvement in weather conditions towards afternoon.
“Landslides, mudslides and shooting stones at vulnerable places are expected in the meanwhile,” he said.
The official also said that the weather conditions likely remain generally dry from March 17 to 21.
He advised travelers, tourists and transporters to follow advisories from administration and traffic department, while farmers have been advised to suspend farm operations till March 16.
The official also advised to general public to avoid sloppy and avalanche prone areas.
