Preparations in full swing for opening of Asia’s Largest Tulip Garden in Srinagar

Srinagar : Srinagar is gearing up for the grand opening of Asia’s largest tulip garden, set to open its gates to the public in the coming days. Located in the foothills of the Zabarwan Range, the garden is expected to be a major attraction, drawing tourists from across the globe to witness its breathtaking array of vibrant tulips in full bloom.
The government has already begun making arrangements to ensure a smooth and successful opening, with workers busy putting the final touches on landscaping, infrastructure, and security measures. The garden, which covers an expansive area of over 200 acres, is expected to feature over 1.5 million tulips in a stunning variety of colors.
Local officials are optimistic that the garden will boost tourism in the region and provide a significant economic uplift to the area, especially for local vendors and businesses.
Javid Masood, in charge of the Tulip Garden, said workers are tirelessly working to ensure the garden is ready on time. “Nearly 100 gardeners and casual laborers are dedicated to maintenance and beautification. We are expecting an even higher footfall this year,” he said.
To accommodate the anticipated influx of visitors, the parking space has been significantly expanded. “Last year, we faced congestion due to the overwhelming number of visitors. This time, we have increased the parking capacity to ensure a smoother and more comfortable experience,” Masood added.
