Srinagar : Police in Handwara on Sunday organized a Lok Darbar at Kralgund Qaziabad, aimed at fostering police-public interaction and addressing public grievances.
The event witnessed active participation from Qaziabad Welfare Forum, Auqaf Committees, Trade Unions, Sumo Unions, and local youth. The primary objective was to strengthen the bond between the police and the public by providing a platform for open dialogue and immediate grievance redressal.
During the session, participants raised various issues related to police services and civil administration. Police officers assured that genuine grievances concerning the police would be resolved on priority, while issues related to other departments would be promptly forwarded to the concerned authorities for action. The attendees on this occasion appreciated the efforts of police in fostering community interaction and pledged their full cooperation in combating social evils and drug menace in the area.
