2 Drug Peddlers Detained Under PIT NDPS Act In G’bal

Srinagar: Police on Thursday said that it has detained two drug peddlers under PIT NDPS Act, after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent authority here in Ganderbal.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that the two drug peddlers identified Danish Ahmad Dar S/o Gh Mohd Dar R/o Wakura Ganderbal and Shahjehan Ahmad Parrah S/o Nazir Ahmad Parrah R/o Zazna Ganderbal have been detained and lodged in Central Jail Kotbhalwal Jammu and District Jail Udhampur respectively after obtaining formal detention orders.
In the concluding para of its above quoted statement police said that it remains fully committed to protect people from the menace of drugs, appealing therein people to stay vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities.
