CUJ Secures Runner-Up Position at National Debate Competition at Chittorgarh Rajasthan

Jammu : Demonstrating excellence in debate and oratory, the students of Cluster University of Jammu have brought laurels to the institution by securing the Second Position at the All India Shri Nandlal Gadiya Memorial Debate – 2025, held at Mewar University, Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. The university team triumphed over some of the most prestigious universities across the country, marking a significant achievement in the field of competitive debating.
The Cluster University of Jammu’s national debate team was led by the Dean Students Welfare and guided by Mr. Mohd Ashraf, Assistant Professor in Commerce (Assistant Dean, Dean Students Welfare). The team comprised outstanding debaters Manmeet Kour, Aakrida Mahajan, Suneha Sharma, and Bhoomika Sharma. The winning duo, Manmeet Kour and Aakrida Mahajan, competed in the English category, showcasing remarkable debating skills, intellectual prowess, and persuasive arguments. Their outstanding performance secured the runners-up trophy, creating a historic milestone for the university.
Professor K.S. Chandershekhar, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of Cluster University of Jammu, while congratulating the team on their remarkable success, added that this achievement reflects the academic strength and debating prowess of our students. He further said that their success serves as an inspiration for our entire student community to aim higher and excel at national and international platforms.”Ankur Mahajan (JKAS), the Registrar of Cluster University of Jammu, emphasized the significance of the victory, adding that the win at a national-level debate competition against top institutions is no small feat. Our students have demonstrated exceptional intellectual capacity, confidence, and commitment. This victory is a proud moment for our university, and I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the entire team and their mentor. Professor (Dr.) Raj Shree Dhar, Dean Students Welfare, Cluster University of Jammu,
lauded the team’s performance and praised their dedication to competing at the national level. She reiterated the university’s commitment to nurturing talent and fostering a culture of intellectual excellence. This remarkable accomplishment underscores Cluster University of Jammu’s dedication to both academic and extracurricular excellence, encouraging students to strive for success in national and international arenas.
