Key directives were outlined during the meeting, with the CEO Doda stressing the importance of a cleanliness initiative ahead of the upcoming school reopening on March 7, 2025, following the winter break. “It is crucial that schools are ready to welcome students in a clean and organized environment, ensuring a conducive atmosphere for learning,” stated the CEO, emphasizing the need for schools to reflect a dignified presentation in accordance with NEP 2020.
Along with the cleanliness drive, the CEO Doda called on ZEOs and Principals to monitor both the academic performance and infrastructure of schools. They were instructed to ensure that all schools meet the Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) standards mandated by government regulations, ensuring that essential learning resources are in place.
ZEOs were also encouraged to launch enrollment campaigns to increase school attendance, with a particular focus on out-of-school children and children with special needs (CWSN).
The CEO emphasized the need for fully equipped science labs and the appointment of vocational trainers at higher secondary and high schools to enhance hands-on learning opportunities for students. “Practical experience is essential for holistic education, and it is vital that schools provide these opportunities,” the CEO remarked.
Addressing the issue of subject shortages, the CEO advocated for a standardized/uniform timetable across higher secondary schools to facilitate the use of online classes and ICT labs, ensuring that subject expertise gaps are effectively addressed.
