Poonch: Deputy Commissioner Poonch Vikas Kundal, convened a meeting here on Saturday to evaluate the implementation and progress of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana in the district.
The meeting began with a detailed PowerPoint presentation by the Executive Engineer Electric Division, JPDCL outlining the scheme’s objectives and benefits.
The DC instructed vendors to commence the installation of Solar Rooftop Systems (SRTs) for sanctioned cases in a timely and organized manner. He highlighted the necessity of public awareness and participation, directing the Executive Engineer to actively involve stakeholders and inform them about the scheme’s advantages and incentives.
Furthermore, the Deputy Commissioner urged the Executive Engineer to meet the assigned target for solar panel installations, reinforcing the commitment to enhancing renewable energy access in the region.
